Hiya, I’m Ryan, a wedding videographer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I document weddings on vintage Super 8 film cameras. I got started with Wedding Photography in 2013 during my time at Queens university studying film. Right after finishing uni I opened and managed a small cafe in Belfast called Indigo for 3 years.

I’ve always loved taking photographs using vintage film cameras, so-much-so that I now shoot most of my work using film.

Super 8 is an amazing way to capture all of the feelings and emotions of your wedding day. Film has a wonderful natural warmth and grain that breathes life into every moment. When you set out to tell a story with real cinematic film, it changes how you approach the subject, you slow down, each second is special and unique.

Nostalgia is an important part of why wedding films shot on Super 8 work so well. To me nostalgia is that feeling of longing for things to be how they were in the past, images, sounds and colours. The grain, flicker and pastel colours of Super 8 films, reminds us of our grandparents and great-grandparents wedding films.

My goal is to create that feeling of nostalgia when you watch your wedding video, all the emotions, colours and memories come flooding back, a very special moment in time caught forever on film. If you love the idea of having a beautiful Super 8 Film of your wedding day, get in touch! I’d love to help tell your love story.
